The body of the first Australian soldier to die in Iraq is on its way to Australia.
Melbourne-born Private Jacob Kovco died on Friday from a gunshot wound to the head.
It is believed the 25-year-old Private Kovco was cleaning his gun at the time of the incident.
He was part of the force providing security for Australian government workers in Baghdad.
A military investigation into his death is under way.
