The widow of the Australian soldier who died in Iraq after apparently shooting himself accidentally says she never tried to stop him from taking up his posting.
The body of Jake Kovco was due to arrive in Melbourne this morning ahead of a full military funeral, but there was a mix-up of caskets in Kuwait.
Shelley Kovco says she remains fully behind the Australian mission in Iraq and wants her late husband's colleagues to finish what he started.
