The five-year-old Sydney girl who was hit by a car on friday has escaped serious head injury.
The Sydney Children's Hospital says the tests it carried out on Sophie Delezio indicate she has bruising of the skull; a broken jaw, shoulder bone and ribs; and bleeding around her left lung.
Doctors hope to find out today if there's any damage to her heart.
Sophie became well-known after she made a remarkable recovery from a 2003 accident, in which she lost both feet, some fingers and suffered third-degree burns to 85 percent of her body.
