The tiny north Tasmanian community of Beaconsfield is still celebrating this morning's rescue of the two miners who had spent two weeks trapped almost a kilometre underground.
Both Brant Webb and Todd Russell are in good health, despite their ordeal.
After undergoing a medical check in Launceston, Mr Russell attended the funeral of Larry Knight, the miner killed in the rockfall in the Beaconsfield gold mine on April the 25th.
But the local mayor, Barry Easther, says both of the rescued miners are now back in Beaconsfield.
"The celebrations are still continuing.
"They paused for a while, but the boys are back in town now and the celebrations are going ahead.
"And I think they are in for a very good evening."
