The Australian woman who lost both legs in the London bombings last year has paid tribute to her rescuers.
Gillian Hicks was presenting a bravery award to one of her rescuers policeman Andrew Maxwell.
The 37-year-old says she now shares an indescribable bond with those who helped rescued her.
Ms Hicks was the last survivor to be pulled out alive from the wreckage of one of the four blasts on in London on July the 7th.
P.C. Maxwell was one of the policemen who used a makeshift stretcher to carry the former Adelaide woman from the scene.
She lost both legs below the knee and now uses prosthetic lower legs.
