The workers at Bendigo Gold Mine say they got back to work 15 minutes late after a trip to their union office to deposit funds raised from workmates.

They say despite warning their employer they could be delayed, they were docked one hour's pay.

The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union says the incident illustrates how the Federal Government's workplace laws are destroying mateship in the workplace.
