South Australia is to host the Asian Cup qualifier match between Australia and Lebanon on the 31st of August.
Premier Mike Rann says the game will be held at Adelaide Oval which can seat more than 30-thousand people.
The match will be broadcast live on SBS television and into key Asian markets.
Football Federation Australia head of operations Matt Carroll says the match is expected to draw large crowds in the wake of the Socceroo's World Cup campaign in June.
Mr Carroll says there'll also be plenty of interest across Asia.
"Australia versus Lebanon - you might think to yourself- what importance is that game? But it's a qualification match. So all the football supporters in China and Japan will be watching to see how Australia plays."
Mr Carroll says; "The last Asian cup final was the highest rating event on Japanese TV, and attracted over 400-million viewers in China for that final - so that's the importance of these games.
