The Nganampa Health Service faced criticism today at a senate inquiry into petrol sniffing for failing to deliver proper services to remote communities.

The inquiry heard that a Health service vehicle was attacked and set alight by frustrated locals at the weekend.

The chairman of the Turkey Bore council, Dennis Colson wants a government inquiry.

"At one stage we were complaining about Nganampa health to be investigated, and have a review - Nganampa health needs a review, because they're the ones who are getting funding too for petrol sniffing to run programs, but there's nothing there at all for it.

"They need a shake-up I think - it's something that should have happened a fair while ago, a couple years ago."
