Hundreds of jobs have been cut every month since November last year.

At that time Telstra chief executive, Sol Trujillo, revealed plans to shed almost a quarter of its 52,000-strong workforce over the next five years.

The telecommunications company says the specific positions to be cut in the two-year program have not yet been finalised, and many workers will not lose their jobs for some time.

The organisation says all eligible employees who are retrenched will receive termination payments in line with existing Telstra policies.
