An expert in traditional medicine, Gerry Bodeker, says the WHO centre is much needed and will create further opportunities for research.

"I have been working with WHO in Japan and I am delighted to hear that Australia has this collaborating centre in traditional medicine and I know some of the people involved and I am sure it will be a great success and really bring a high level of research to this field in Australia," Mr Bodeker said.
