The Premier Morris Iemma says Friday the eighth of September will be a one-off public holiday in 2007 to help clear the city for the APEC meeting of world leaders that weekend.

US President George W Bush, the Russian President Vladimir Putin and 18 other world leaders will attend the APEC summit in Sydney on September the eighth and ninth next year.
