The daughter of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin attended the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in Sydney, flying from the Queensland Sunshine Coast with her mother Terri Irwin.
Steve Irwin had earlier agreed to attend the awards ceremony so his daughter could mix with her favourite television and music stars.
Dressed in her father's trademark khaki, Bindi attracted the biggest scream from the crowd outside the Sydney Entertainment Centre and happily posed for photos.
She told reports that she was excited to be presenting an award – Fave Aussie.
"I'm feeling pretty good," she said.
"It's kind of sad that he couldn't be here but it's nice that I could do it."
She said she was looking forward to meeting Sophie Monk, a host of the award night, which is linked to a children's pay TV channel.
And with her crimped blonde hair in pigtails, Bindi clutched her mother's hand and said: "I'm going to slime my mum that might be really fun."
Asked how she was holding up, Terri Irwin said: "It's wonderful to have a focus on a special night and I know Steve would have been really proud.
"Bindi's been looking forward to this for a long time so we're really glad to be here."
The Irwin family's friend and manager, John Stainton, was also on tonight's guest list.
At her father’s memorial service, Bindi Irwin pledged to continue the wildlife work of her father, who was killed by a stingray barb to the chest while filming footage for his daughter's TV series on the Great Barrier Reef on September 4.
