Immigration minister Scott Morrison has today claimed boat arrivals to Australia in November were at a five-year low.
Speaking at the weekly Operation Sovereign Borders media conference today, Mr Morrson said since the operation began, 751 people have arrived illegally on 15 boats.
He went on to say he had this week met with PNG prime minister Peter O’Neill and updated him on the operation and highlighted the "critical role" PNG has played in it to date.
Later, Mr Morrison said the Labor party remained divided on Temporary Protection Visas and could not hold a consistent position.
More to come.
