Thailand's prime minister has dissolved parliament and called a snap election in a bid to resolve the country's deepening political crisis.

The move comes after the mass resignation of Opposition MPs and more anti-government protests with up to 100,000 people on the streets of Bangkok. SBS World News Australia's Vesna Nazor reports.
