LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Jessica Ennis won the heptathlon gold medal at the London Olympics on Saturday with a score of 6,955 points.

Russia's world champion Tatyana Chernova took silver and Lyudmyla Yosypenko of Ukraine the bronze.
