    LONDON (Reuters) - Serbian Milica Mandic won the taekwondo gold medal in the women's heavyweight division at the London Games, beating Anne-Caroline Gaffe of France in the final on Saturday.

    After a tight opening two rounds, Mandic opened up in the third and picked off world champion Graffe with quick kicks to the body, running out a 9-7 winner to earn Serbia their first gold medal of the Games.

    LONDON (Reuters) - Argentina's Sebastian Eduardo Crismanich won the men's welterweight taekwondo gold medal by beating Nicolas Garcia Hemme of Spain in the final at the London Games on Friday.

    Crismanich, who won the Pan American qualifiers for London, beat Hemme 1-0 in a cagey final to win Argentina's first Olympic taekwondo medal. The Argentine scored the deciding point with seconds remaining then survived an onslaught to seal the gold.

    LONDON (Reuters) - Joel Gonzalez Bonilla of Spain won the men's flyweight (-58kg) taekwondo gold medal at the London Games on Wednesday, beating Lee Dae-hoon of South Korea in the final.

    Bonilla, the 2011 world champion, swept through the competition and looked particularly impressive in the semi-final where he demolished Oscar Munoz Oviedo 13-4.

    Taekwondo: China's Wu wins women's -49kg gold medal

    LONDON (Reuters) - China's Wu Jingyu won the women's flyweight (-49kg) taekwondo gold medal at the London Games on Wednesday, beating Brigitte Yague Enrique of Spain in the final.

    Wu, the defending champion from the Beijing Olympics, overwhelmed the Spaniard from the outset with snapping kicks to the midsection and head, and finished an 8-1 winner.
