Ladies and gentlemen, RocKwiz returns in 2013... still rocking, still rolling, still the one rock and roll show that you can’t afford to miss. Season 11 begins Saturday May 25 at 8:30pm on SBS ONE. This series once again features an incredible selection of musical artists, including some stunning newcomers like Hailey Cramer and Courtney Barnett; award winners Chet Faker, Troy Cassar-Daley, Urthboy and Archie Roach; international artists like J Mascis from Dinosaur Junior, Norman Blake from Teenage Fanclub, Passenger, Jens Lekman and twenty year old Gabrielle Aplin who was whisked off the Festival Hall stage and rushed across town to The Espy! There are appearances from Australian legends like Dave Faulkner, John Paul Young, Deborah Conway, Paul Dempsey, Don Walker and Tex Perkins and a very moving performance from Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. We found the perfect duet partner for Connie Mitchell from Sneaky Sound System and we had a guest appearance from Woody Guthrie’s granddaughter who sang with John Steinbeck’s great nephew! How’s that for musical/literary lineage?
