Beman and Janet are an unlikely duo. He is a Baha’i man from Iran who came to Australia as a refugee. She is an Australian-born gardening enthusiast who came to live at Brownlie Towers when her husband was diagnosed with cancer. They bonded through a shared love of raw food, beekeeping and pomegranates and have become fast friends.
