The British Red Cross is working to help people in Britain affected by a sudden cold snap that's affecting health services.

 

Hundreds of people have died across Europe in the heavy snow and freezing temperatures that have gripped the region for more than a week.

 

Penny Sims, from the British Red Cross, has told Nikki Canning, her organisation is using four-wheel-drive vehicles in a bid to reach people isolated by the cold snap.
