The chair of a federal parliamentary inquiry into multiculturalism denies that its findings are being prejudged, by focusing on the positives.

The federal parliament's Joint Standing Committee on Migration is continuing its inquiry into the economic, social and cultural impacts of migration in Australia.

 

The task of the Inquiry into multiculturalism in Australia is to make recommendations to maximise the positive effects of migration.

 

But committee chairwoman, Labor MP Maria Vamvakinou says that does not mean it is pre-judging any outcomes.
