Police services on South Australia's APY Aboriginal lands are again facing scrutiny, after it was revealed police took nearly 11 hours to respond to a 000 emergency call.

 

The incident came as local indigenous constable positions were vacant.

 

As Karen Ashford reports, attracting and retaining officers in remote areas remains a constant challenge and advocates say more effort needs to be made.
