Indigenous incarceration rates

High rates of Indigenous incarceration are described as an international embarrassment and a black mark on Australia's human rights record.
Australia's high rate of incarceration of Indigenous people is showing no signs of dropping.
Of particular concern is the chronic over-representation of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in youth detention and prison.
