Three electrifying musicians- one a Latvian

Trio Dali named itself after a type of Chinese marble, which when carved denotes both beauty and strength. "You work on the marble to make a piece of art, something very precious. Our idea was to take this symbolism and describe what we want to do with the music, transforming the score into something equally precious, "says La Marca, the cellist of the trio.

Masha Gessen, a journalist living in Moscow , was a guest of Sydney's Writers' Festival. Her book "The Man Without a Face" should be on everyone's reading list. It is a book of non-fiction that reads like a thriller.
