The federal government and its contractors will pay 70-million-dollars to the detainees, and cover legal costs.

 

The detainees were seeking damages for alleged physical and psychological injuries suffered as a result of conditions at the facility.

New Heart-failure Drug Subsidised (ຢາຫົວໃຈລົ້ມເຫຼວຖືກຄ້ຳຈູນອ້ອມຊູ)

New research estimates the number of Australians with heart failure will increase significantly over the next decade.

 

With the condition already affecting over half a million Australians, the government will subsidise a first-of-its-kind drug to help deal with the problem.

OZ Government Revamps Citizenship Test (ຣັຖບານອອສເຕຼເລັຍປະຕິຮູບການສອບເສັງເອົາສັນຊາດ)

The Turnbull Government has revealed details of its proposed revamp of Australia's citizenship test.

 

The bill was introduced to parliament today (thur).

 

If passed, it would require aspiring citizens to sit a more challenging English language exam.

 

Labor is undecided on the bill, but is already warning the new English test could be too hard.
