Superstar K-pop band, EXO has been announced as the headline for KCON 2017 Australia today. The boy band will be leading a stellar line-up of nine acts! KCON Australia 2017 will take place in Sydney over two days at Qudos Bank Arena.
Rated by many as the hottest K-pop band in 2017, EXO has sold over 3 million units since bursting on to the scene in 2012. The band’s third album EX’ACT with title songs "Lucky One" and "Monster" was last year ranked #1 on the Billboard World Digital Songs charts.
The confirmation of EXO completes the sensational KCON 2017 AUSTRALIA line-up along with Cosmic Girls, Girls’ Day, MONSTA X, PENTAGON, SF9, UP10TION, VICTON and Wanna One.
The event will showcase everything about Korean culture and lifestyle including K-fashion, K-beauty, K-food, K-dance, K-drama by day, and then unleash the exhilarating high-energy sights and sounds of top K-pop artists by night.

Fans can purchase Combo tickets to cover two days or single day tickets. The KCON convention is free admission. Concert tickets start from $178.35.

UP10TION is a boy group formed by TOP Media in 2015 with their first EP, Top Secret. The boy band made a simultaneous debut in China and Korea with the release of their first single, “So Dangerous.” Over the years, they've explored a variety of styles with a particular focus on impactful, beat-driven dance tracks. In February 2017, UP10TION’s first-ever Japanese single, the ominous electro-pop “ID,” went to No. 3 on the Japan Hot 100.
Wanna One is an eleven-member boy group formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 reality shows Produce 101 Season 2. The final members, as well as the group name, were chosen by the public audience’s votes. The group will officially start performing in August 2017. Wanna One is ready to win over the hearts of overseas fans with their energetic performance at KCON 2017 AUSTRALIA.

Girl’s Day is a female quartet that has been around since 2010 and seen major successes with their energetic dance pop sings. They’re known for their hits like “Expectation,” "Something," and “Female President;” the latter of which was was one of best K-pop songs of 2013. The group released a new EP, Everyday #5, in March, fronted by their most recent single, the brassy banger “I’ll Be Yours.” (Source)
The first boy band from Cube Entertainment (BEAST, 4Minute) since BTOB’s 2012 debut, Pentagon garnered a lot of attention in October with the release of the pounding “Gorilla,” a brassy dance track that incorporated hip-hop and funk. Its music video was so popular upon release that “Gorilla” became one of the most viewed K-pop videos in America that month. Their follow-up track, December’s “Can You Feel It,” kept the rhythmic funk of their debut track while featuring more expressive, mellower vocals. (Source)
VICTON is the first boy group under Plan A Entertainment. The group consists of seven members: Han SeungWoo, Kang SeungSik, Heo Chan, Lim SeJun, Do HanSe, Choi ByungChan and Jung SuBin. On November 19, 2016, VICTON debuted with their 1st mini album, <Voice To New World>.
The album’s title coincides with their group name, which means that they will spread the new signature voice and music of VICTON all over the world. VICTON appealed their charisma and clear with their two title songs called "What time is it now" and "I'm fine" of <Voice To New World>.
Thereafter VICTON returned with a title song called "EYEZ EYEZ" of 2nd mini album <Ready>. All of the members of VICTON participated to all of their songs and showed their artistry. VICTON informed attractiveness through the reality program Born identity. And they received the 'modeltainer award' at the 2017 Asia Model Festival.

COSMIC GIRLS (WJSN):
Cosmic Girls, or WJSN, is a Korean-Chinese girl group. Cosmic Girls has 13 members. The team debuted last year with the saccharine “Mo Mo Mo” and electro hip-hop track “Catch Me." But it wasn’t until they switched up their sound and visual style with August's The Secret EP that Cosmic Girls proved their staying power with a blend of atmospheric synth pop and fantastical music videos. The group returned earlier this month with the upbeat summer cheer song “Happy.” (Source)
Starship Entertainment’s seven member hip-hop group debuted only two years ago in 2015, as a part of the survival show ‘NO.MERCY’, and thanks to tremendous fan service and the boys’ great personalities it didn’t take long for them to grow a loyal following. Their debut mini-album ‘Trespass’ and second mini-album ‘Rush,’ including their first hit ‘Hero,’ earned them the Next Generation Award at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards. In 2016 Monsta X released their third and fourth mini-albums, The Clan Part. 1 ‘LOST’ and The Clan Part. 2 ‘GUILTY’, the latter of which peaked at number 2 on Korean charts and number 3 on the US World chart. SF9 is a boy group formed by FNC Entertainment and the company’s first dance boy group. The group consists of nine members: Young Bin, In Seong, Jae Yoon, Da Won, Ro Woon, Zu Ho, Tae Yang, Hwi Young, and Cha Ni. The group name stands for Sensational Feeling 9. They debuted on October 5, 2016 with their first single album Feeling Sensation. Their first mini album Burning Sensation was released on February 6 and landed at No.6 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart which was released on February 15, 2017. On April 18, 2017, SF9 released their second mini album, Breaking Sensation, with title song “Easy Love.” (Source)
