After surprising everyone with the sudden release of his brand new single and MV "I Need U," Lay has shed some more light on the heartfelt meaning behind the song, which was released in honour of his grandparents' 50th anniversary.

In a new post on Instagram, the EXO member shared a heartfelt letter (written in English) about how happiness has influenced his music before writing at length how much he loves his grandparents, whose 50-year relationship has inspired Lay about love and life.

Awwww, isn't Lay just the sweetest person and grandson ever?
