The Tokyo Ghoul:re manga is being adapted into an anime series.

Announced late last nightTokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel to Sui Ishida’s shounen horror manga series Tokyo Ghoul, is becoming an anime. The series follows a group of ghoul-human hybrid investigators in a ghoul hunting agency.

Tokyo Ghoul:re first released in 2014, following the end of the first season of the Tokyo Ghoul anime. Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul first debuted in 2011 before ending in 2014. This news couldn’t come at a more convenient time as the first volume of Tokyo Ghoul:re releases this month.

Voice actor Natsuki Hanae will return but more news on the staff involved in the project will be announced at a later date. A major news announcement on the series is scheduled for October 12.
