Acclaimed Aussie actor Rachel Griffiths is beloved by Hollywood and lives in Melbourne with her husband and three children.

She is familiar with her mother’s ancestry, but knows little about her deceased father Edward’s lineage.

While he might no longer be around though, he was still a big part of her childhood in these adorable family photos that Rachel shared with SBS for the filming of Who Do You Think You Are?

In Rachel's episode of WDYTYA, shel believes there is a secret history that hides Aboriginal or South Sea Island ancestry.

Further investigation including DNA testing of Edward’s sister, Rachel’s aunt, dispels this theory, but reveals a Jewish line. Rachel's journey ends up taking her all the way to the other side of Europe to London, where she discovers a fascinating connection to some prominent historical figures.
