SBS Self Help Retransmission Subsidy Scheme
The SBS Self Help scheme can assist small communities
that do not currently have access to SBS TV or radio programs
to provide retransmission of SBS programming in their local area, by providing funding assistance for the cost of setting up a local retransmission facility. More info here
On digital radio
Digital radio is a new, exciting way to listen to your favourite SBS Radio programs. SBS Digital Radio offers you more quality news, features, information and sports coverage in your language.
To enjoy the benefits of digital radio you will need to purchase a DAB+ digital receiver.
Digital Radios come in all shapes and sizes and have an array of functions. Some are DAB+ only and some have FM included, some work on batteries and others are electric only.
Others offer special features like Pause, Rewind and Record; and others come with CD player, MP3 and/or ipod dock included. DAB+ digital receivers are available now.

How do I listen again to SBS radio programs on my computer?
SBS Radio streams the latest programs on demand. To listen you will need to have the latest version of flash player installed.
What is Flash player and how do I get it?
Flash is a downloadable application that already available on most computers. However, if you get a message alerting you to upgrade your current flash - simply follow the instructions below.
To get the latest flash player:
1. Visit the Adobe Flash Player download website.
2. Click the link to commence the 'download' and follow the on screen instructions.
If you are using a computer that isn't based in your home (for example, in an office, library or school) you may requrie your IT department or administrator to install the latest player for you.
SBS programs are also made available as podcasts or as audio highlights you can listen to on-demand. Podcasting allows you to subscribe to a feed of the latest audio from a particular program or simply listen again to program highlights in mp3 format.
On your TV
From Monday April 29, 2013, SBS Radio 1, SBS Radio 2 and SBS Radio 3, are available on free digital television, VAST (Viewer Access Satellite Television) and Foxtel.
Free view digital TV
Generally the three radio signals are automatically scanned in. The logical channel numbers for our radio services are Channel 37 for SBS Radio 1, and Channel 38 for SBS Radio 2, and 39 for the new SBS Radio 3.
VASTVAST is the new satellite platform that supplies free-to-air TV around Australia. If you are currently using the Aurora service, live in a regional or remote area, watch TV from a self-help transmission tower, or have poor analog TV reception, you may be eligible for VAST. FOXTEL subscription television
SBS Radio channels are available live on Foxtel.
Listen to SBS Radio 1 on Foxtel channel 867, SBS Radio 2 on Foxtel Channel 868 and from September 3rd 2013, tune to SBS Radio 3 on Foxtel channel 869.
