First professional musical engagement ...
I played guitar in a show called Le Grande Poisson Blanc at the first Melbourne Comedy Festival in Fitzroy. I was so shy about being on stage I sat behind a curtain.

Top three gigs you've ever played ...
Bilbao Concert Hall, Spain
Sydney Opera House, Broad
House Of Blues, New Orleans, with Lucinda Williams
Oakleigh Bowling Club, Melbourne
Byron Bay Festival
Lilith Fair, Washington, USA
Hopetoun Hotel, Sydney with Girl Monstar

Song you are most proud of ...
Either 'Stupid' because it was included in a 4 CD boxset of Folk Rock alongside Bob Dylan, The Byrds etc. Or 'These Things' because it was included in a compilation CD along side Leonard Cohen and John Coltrane.

Song you wish you'd written ...
'If You See Her, Say Hello' (Dylan) 'Greensleeves'

Favourite instrument? Why and where did you get it ...
My Gibson Les Paul. I got it twenty years ago in Melbourne as I decided to get serious about playing in a band. It has been a great friend over the years.

Beatles or Stones?
I like the vibe of The Stones but I do think they have more dud songs than the Beatles do. My favourite Stones album is Beggar's Banquet. I like both bands but haven't listened to either much for years.

Howling Wolf or Muddy Waters?
I'd have to say Howlin' Wolf.

Oasis or Blur?
Not overly familiar with either although I like Ryan Adams' version of 'Wonderwall'. I don't know who Blur is, actually.

Three musicians you would happily be locked in a green room with after a gig and why ...
Nancy and Ann Wilson (Heart) because they love to jam after a show and we'd be guaranteed of having a great time. Django Rheinhardt - such a character and maybe he would play. Genius. Audrey Auld and/or Jess Leary - they love to jam. I like to play after a show ...

Favourite work of art ...
Something by Van Gogh perhaps? The colours, the soul ...

Favourite article of clothing ...
My rattlesnake boots. Give me mojo.

Favourite colour ...
Blue

Favourite breakfast cereal ...
Nutri grain or weet bix.

Last thing you eat before bed ...
Dinner
