In July 2004, Kate Miller-Heidke released her self-financed, self-distributed seven track debut EP, TELEGRAM, the purists who'd followed her career saw it as a distraction from her real path as an opera / cabaret singer. Kate saw her future. By years end TELEGRAM was into its sixth pressing, and with little to no promotion beyond word of mouth, Kate was selling out shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Paul Dempsey is best known as the enigmatic frontman for Melbourne trio Something For Kate. Stripped back and raw, Paul's songs are rendered with an intimacy and unrestrained passion that's made him one of the most respected singer/songwriters in the country.
