Comedy is all about delivery. It's relatively common that a funny line is delivered in such a way that it loses its humour. The flip side is that if you get the delivery of a serious statement wrong enough, it can become unintentionally funny. And there have been two examples of this that emerged from the US election doing the rounds online. The first is a campaign ad for Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Contrast the message with the delivery and you have comedy gold. In fact, it's so golden that Saturday Night Live decided to put it to air unedited because it was funny enough to stand on its own. See what you think:
It's Mike Brady!
But probably my favourite is this one from the Republican Presidential nominee, John McCain during one of the Republican party debates. Just watch his face after he delivers some particularly weighty rhetoric. This, too, found its way onto US comedy shows, and is hilariously treated here by Jon Stewart on The Daily Show:
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

SBS off air when Muslims r on...what could that mean?? (hehe) Waleed is it easy to get to watch u guys live, coz Ive sent an e-mail in a few weeks ago and still no reply.
WA says: I don't look after the audience stuff, so I'm not sure what happened, but I do know we have way more requests for audience than we had space to fit them, so it hasn't been that easy to get tickets. Sorry about that!

I have tried to watch SalamCafe last week at 10pm and for some reason SBS was off air. I am trying to watch SalamCafe again right now....and guess what, its off air! This is irritating!
WA says: This is very strange. I have no idea why that's happening. Is it something unique to your reception or your area? Or is it Sydney-wide?
