SBS Content Sales acquires all rights in Asia Pacific for the latest line up of this popular factual series.
Featuring well-known Australians play detective as they go in search of their family history, revealing secrets from the past. Taking us to all corners of Australia  and the globe are six stories of individuals seeking to find the definitive answer to where they came from. Along the way secrets are uncovered and histories are revealed - with each individual discovering that their ancestors form an integral part of not only their own identity, but that of the nation.

 We see Comedian Magda Szubanski on a deeply emotional journey into the lives of two ancestors. Here she must confront the brutality of war. Cricketer Rod Marsh trawls the records to overturn long-held secrets and piece together the dramatic circumstances that led to his father’s adoption. Singer Tina Arena travels to Sicily  in search of her Italian heritage and discovers a long line of abandoned ancestors. Actor and comedian Shane Bourne embarks on a journey into his ancestry to investigate a pattern of absent fathers.  Actor, dancer and TV chef Paul Mercurio embarks on a journey into his ancestry to investigate rumours of a mafia connection. Actress Georgie Parker goes in search of why the women in her family are so strong: the answers will test out her own strength.
