Living the End wins Social & Humanitarian Documentaries award at recent BANFF World Media Festival.
Congratulations are due for the creators of SBS’s topical documentary program Living the End which has been honoured with an award from the Rockies non-fiction category at this year’s BANFF.
Living the End won the Social & Humanitarian Documentaries award, competing against documentaries from the UK’s BBC and Channel 4 and HBO in the US.
The thought-provoking documentary follows the stories of three people at varying ages who have accepted they are about to die. Living the End is not only a moving meditation on death itself, but an affirmation of the intensity of life.
Living the End is a 1 x 52 min program produced by Cordell Jigsaw for SBS Australia, available for distribution worldwide.
