Museum of the World

Synopsis

The former French President Chirac opened the world’s first museum to acknowledge the inherent artistic value of indigenous art works.

The design of the museum and its ceilings, floors and facades have drawn heavily on the work of contemporary Australian Aboriginal artists.

This two part series marks this significant milestone in the evolution of western attitudes to indigenous civilisations.
