Basque Songs For centuries, singing was part of the daily lives of the Basque people. Today, it is becoming the reflection of a traditional society, itself subject to important changes. New melodies, new performers and styles are emerging. So a new Basque singing competition was established for children from 6 to 15. The aim is to showcase new performers and promote the Basque language. -
This documentary was nominated for an Academy Award in 2004 and tells the story of an US organisation named the Weather Underground, known colloquially as The Weathermen, a radical left group known mainly for their outrage at US involvement in Vietnam, a splinter group of the non-violent Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). Thirty years ago a group of young American radicals announced their intention to overthrow the US government.
