  • Pierre Clément refuses to drop the Andrescu case, despite the threats Benoît Faye makes - on orders from Laborde - to force him to desist. Benoît decides to attack. His target is not Benoît, but his estranged wife Marianne and her father, Robert Villequier, who suddenly find themselves under suspicion of trafficking in contraband medicines. Meanwhile Laure is investigating a seemingly straightforward case: a woman was killed by her ex-husband, who regularly beat her and extorted money from her. An arrogant but sloppy forensic doctor mistakenly concludes that the woman died of natural causes. So there is no murder, and therefore no murderer. Laure and her team are indignant but powerless.
