My husband and I were really looking forward to watching this dvd and, even though it covers the 30 years of competition, we were very disappointed that it is mostly in french with very little English explanation, it would have been nice to have english sub titles translating what the interviews were about, it would also have been great to have some footage of the trucks competing, all in all we were extremely disappointed

This DVD covers the amazing history of the Dakar race up to, and including, 2007. What the SBS and Dymocks' website haven't mentioned is that it is a French DVD, with only half of the talking dubbed in English. When the DVD first started, there was only French talking, and it took several minutes before there was some English. Unfortunately, most of the interviews with predominantly French participants, and were not subsequently dubbed in English. I was also unable to find any English sub-titles. I enjoyed watching this, but it could have been better if I spoke French as well.
