The SBS Youth Orchestra is made up of young musicians from a range of multicultural backgrounds, reflecting Australia's ethnic diversity. Since its formation in 1988, the SBS Youth Orchestra has recorded many programs for SBS Television including the four in this DVD set. It's a tribute to the talent and adaptability of the orchestra's members, under the baton of maestro Matthew Krel, that they can perform the great classical works by one turn and then swing it with the bets jazz 'musos' Australia has to offer in the next.
