Great series, enjoyed the idea of a more slow food way of living. Still cannot fathom where the money came from during the series?
Loved the bit where he learns how to behead chooks from two local women. Laughed at the way he was the one feeling squeamish, and empathized at the same time. Doing that is not for the faint hearted and he handled the learning extremely well. Learned a lot and enjoyed it immensely. Great series.
Did not relate to mathew evans. The majority of the time he looks like unhappy. Much prefer the original from the Uk river cottage.
Yipppeee, only 2 weeks to go before we head down. It was mostly due to watching your show that we booked our first family holiday to Tassy. Can't wait to breath in some fresh air.
This is so inspirational, I was amazed! So good to finally have an Australian doing all this. I loved the bread episode- now I know about which Australian flours to buy, and as with other episodes, we really have a guide as to Australian plants, food, conditions, experiences, etc. Everyone should know a bit about being able to grow your own food and making healthy simple food and so going back to basics and making the quality of the ingredients count most in making fabulously tasty food is just excellent and imperative. Thank you so much. Its even good to know you can have only just a few animals, and how it is possible. Maybe it will catch on more and more! You're the man!!
Fantastic to see an Aussie version of living on the land. We are about to do the same here in south west WA and the series has been very helpful and reassuring.
As a chef of 39 years and a great lover of food It great to see a series that i find very interest, special last week about the different apple we have in Tasmanian.I would love to do what you have so keep the good work up.
Loved the series - just loved it. Please can there be another one. You've inspired our move to Tasmania - we're moving our family there as soon as possible. What a beautiful, beautiful life - thanks for the great insight into what life is really all about.
