Overview

Totally barking mad, Wilfred is an enigmatic comedy series about a woman, her new boyfriend and her old dog.

Wilfred, Season 1 - Wilfred

Expanding on the award winning short film by the same name Wilfred is a tale of love, lust, anxiety, fear, frustration, humiliation, and occasional happiness. And that’s from the dogs perspective. If television vets have taught us anything, it’s that the domestic pet can have as many psychological hang-ups as its contemporary owner. Depression, anxiety, loneliness and fear of abandonment all lead to behavioural problems and an unstable home environment Wilfred is an in-depth portrait of such a pet ‘behaving badly’. Not that Wilfred is a bad dog… he’s just very protective of Sarah and wary of Adam, and the three of them share a relationship that can be warm and wonderful but fractious and fragile, like most relationships.

Wilfred
profiles three individuals struggling to find heart and home in the modern world. Wilfred the ultimate flawed character… we are charmed by his arrogance and self righteousness, his falsehoods and misguided passions. Insecure and manipulative, he will stop at nothing to win the love and affection he desires.

  • Wilfred - awards and nominations:

Wilfred is the smartest comedy to come out of Oz in a long long time ! Brilliant scripts, great character performances, combined with some of the craziest ideas to hit the small screen, makes this a must see show. Keep it coming, may there be many seasons ahead !

You beaut, fair dinkum, aussie humour at it's ripper best. Please don't touch a thing, what true blue genius came up with this, bottle it! I'm getting bored with the shit thats on commercial tv these days and am looking for something that warms the cockles of the heart and i believe I've just found it. My fiance and I roll on the floor with laughter and have done nothing but spread the word. Keep it up guys and gals!
