Last week IMMIGRATION NATION buy video has no English subtitles. I have 70 years of age and hearing problems. When I saw the episode because I had a sutitulos could understand English and I thought the video was subtitled. I look can I to obtain one with English subtitles. The program is very interesting and very well produced.
Its not to late. We can change the racist redneck ideals when we have programs such as this to use. Well done SBS for another wonderful and insightful program
Follow your culture, but embrace Australia (and yes, I am from India). @ Raj, "I still see that racism in this part of the world more explicitly" - are you a globetrotter?? How many countries have you been to, to judge Australia?? There are migrants in this country who have never, ever had a single Caucasian friend in their lives, who have never had a work colleague who is a Caucasian (esp in Sydney n Melbourne), who have never lived in suburbs inhabited by Caucasians, yet they label Australians as "racist". My sincere advice to fellow migrants, please go back if you feel Australia is racist and if you feel your home countries are not good enough (not developed or modern or whatever) then please dont be a noisy "cry baby" in the time you live here.
Racism still exist in pure form: I'm a temporary resident and I still see that racism in this part of the world more explicitly.
It's even better than the First Australians! All Australians should watch it, know about the most unfortunate era for migrants. Also it's good for anyone who is curious about Australia and its history. 5 Star!
An Outstanding well made series. Poignant and Historically Educational about a most unfortunate and unpleasant period in Australia's history.

Hi Gerardo, Unfortunately subtitles on TV and on DVD are different. SBS is now releasing selected DVDs with English subtitles but this product is a bit older and was not made with subtitles.
