I was riveted each episode the first time round, but am seeing so much more this second time....maybe the sub-titles, but I don't think so. The dark atmosphere, Lund's wonderful character & the way we are led to the clues all have me enthralled. Highly recommended.

I sat on the edge of my couch every week for 5 months in 2010 (apparently like the rest of Europe) waiting to see who Dunnit. I met a Danish waitress who knew and begged her not to tell me. I begged my Danish relatives not to tell me. They didn't. I loved the detail, the in-depth character development, the way that one actor was not the only star of the show. That, like a great novel, you can't put it down and never want it to end. Much as I liked Prime Suspect, I thought "Helen Mirren, eat your heart out!" Mirren's character was almost too vulnerable. Sarah Lundt's unapologetic arrogance, obessiveness and disregard for the feelings of anyone who loves or works with her are fascinating. Sophie Grabol (the actress) told The Guardian she got into the role when she finally decided to be a man in a woman's body. She even imitated the body language and splayed walk of one of her more macho colleagues (says a lot for men compartmentalising their feelings and lives!). Also we all probably like to see a detective who doesn't always follow protocol and has a mind of her own. Why couldn't I see Who Dunnit? I guess is because the don't really give you any clues (or rather keep leading you up one garden path after another and back again).Yet even now, as I watch the repeat, it's still enthralling. I'm seeing so many more details I hadn't noticed before -apart from Troels Hartmann being such a hearthrob. <br>

I loved this series when it was shown on SBS. If you liked series like The Eagle, Octopus, Wallander (Swedish version) and Anna Pihl and you missed The Killing, you need to see this. The series begins as a Danish police woman is about to leave the force and begin a new life. A crime takes place and an investigation begins. The plot twists and turns, so that at several points the viewer "thinks" the case is solved. Just at those points, a new clue, or piece of information comes to light and we are kept guessing right until the last episode. Some wonderful scences of Denmark as well. Totally brilliant and highly recommended.
