Overview
In today's violent world, the lives of many politicians, industrialists, heads of state and other VIPs are often endangered. To counteract these threats, the Danish Intelligence Bureau established the elite Personal Protection Unit - a force of competent, quick-thinking and dedicated bodyguards.
This Emmy award winning Danish crime series centres around the lives and missions of these specialists, the people they protect and their enemies.

In Episode 10, I couldn't qualify who Ditsey or Dipsey was. Was she Diana's daughter? No the series was good but Episode 10 left me with ????'s.
Addictive viewing, I felt at a loss when one week it was suddenly not on anymore, my week is not the same without it. More please SBS!
When is the next series commencing? I need a weekly fix of gritty Danish social realism. Don't mind the quirky humour either...
The Killing was too long, had too many sub-plots and a lame ending; Anna Pihl was a bit wishy-washy, but The Protectors hit the mark all the way! Another series please.
No wonder Mary moved to Denmark. Quality television. I will have to keep an eye out for these other Danish series mentioned, after seeing the quality of this show. Keep up the great work SBS.
protectors is just so good follows on from the killings what would we do without sbs showing such excellect series.
The Protectors follows the excellent Unit One, The Killings & The Eagle. I have all the above series to rerun when I need a Danish hit. Only complaint is that The Protectors is on too late. How about an earlier time slot SBS???

Excellent series, with great balance between action and human stories. Characters are interesting but have their flaws and uncertainties. Really missing it as SBS has stopped (sept 2012) showing it - please bring it back!
