Overview
In a world where the race for new energy sources is becoming increasingly desperate, the rights of farmers over their fields, and of fishermen to their fishing grounds, has come into direct conflict with the oil giant Shell. When the citizens look to their state for protection, they find that Shell’s right to lay a pipeline has been put ahead of their health, safety and environment.
The Pipe is a story of the tragically divided Irish community of Rossport, and how they deal with a pipe that could bring economic prosperity or destruction of a way of life forever.
"Excellent. A film that should be seen by everyone. 5 stars" - David Edwards, Daily Mirror
