Douglas & Shona - there is a 3rd series in the pipeline, I'm very glad to say. It's being written now (mid-2014) and will be shot later this year.

Just discovered this series probably the best thing I have seen since "The Wire" which was a completely different scenario. The Swedish "Aspergers" detective character, Saga Noren, is funny, insightful, able to see other things the Danish guy just does not see. Great to hear there is a second series scheduled for the European autumn...can't wait for it. The Yanks are also doing their version on the Mexico/US border and the Brits and French are setting it in the Channel Tunnel!!! Now presently watching "The Eagle" another gem from Denmark.

One of the best 10 hours of television I have had. Characters are so interesting and human. Dark plot but loved dialogue. Could never work out any answers. It kept having twists and turns.

Absolutely stunning television. I only wish more could experience how classy television can get. This series must be near the peak - plot, scripting and wonderful characters, superbly played. Dark at times, but refreshingly so because of the sheer joy of this visual feast.

Absolutely brilliant. Fast paced with a complex plot. Saga is one of the most unusual and interesting female characters that I've seen for a long time. The Scandinavians make crime drama -" par excellence"

So sad this insightful series has finished. Loved "The Killing" but this series was far more dramatic because of the development of the two main characters as they came to terms with their human flaws. Looking forward to the next Scandinavian drama SBS!

A remarkable series, especially the role of Saga Norén, a police woman who is an Asperger's person - a particularly difficult character to play. Re above complaint - "The female Dane detective is a sex crazy caricature & the Swedish counterpart runs rings around her." There are no such characters in The Bridge.

Lyn, she is Swedish, he is Danish. If you ever have the very good fortune to spend time in Scandinavia you would know that this series hits the nail on head big time.

Wonderful series. Another great Scandinavian crime drama. The character Saga Noren must have Aspergers; the actress plays the role so well.
