Overview
A woman’s body is dumped in the middle of the Øresund Bridge – right on the border between Sweden and Denmark. What at first looks like one murder, turns out to be two. The bodies have been brutally cut in half at the waist and put together to form a single corpse.

Detectives from Denmark and Sweden are forced to work together to solve this spectacular double murder and the wave of violence that follows. The quirky characters and fast-paced twisting plot ensure this latest Scandinavian crime drama is richly satisfying viewing from start to finish.

One of the best 10 hours of television I have had. Characters are so interesting and human. Dark plot but loved dialogue. Could never work out any answers. It kept having twists and turns.
Absolutely stunning television. I only wish more could experience how classy television can get. This series must be near the peak - plot, scripting and wonderful characters, superbly played. Dark at times, but refreshingly so because of the sheer joy of this visual feast.
Absolutely brilliant. Fast paced with a complex plot. Saga is one of the most unusual and interesting female characters that I've seen for a long time. The Scandinavians make crime drama -" par excellence"
So sad this insightful series has finished. Loved "The Killing" but this series was far more dramatic because of the development of the two main characters as they came to terms with their human flaws. Looking forward to the next Scandinavian drama SBS!
A remarkable series, especially the role of Saga Norén, a police woman who is an Asperger's person - a particularly difficult character to play. Re above complaint - "The female Dane detective is a sex crazy caricature & the Swedish counterpart runs rings around her." There are no such characters in The Bridge.
Lyn, she is Swedish, he is Danish. If you ever have the very good fortune to spend time in Scandinavia you would know that this series hits the nail on head big time.
What a wonderful series, along with others you have shown - The Killing and The Spiral plus the original Walander - love them all keep showing them
Wonderful series. Another great Scandinavian crime drama. The character Saga Noren must have Aspergers; the actress plays the role so well.
First, THE KIILING, then SPIRAL and now THE BRIDGE. SBS has excelled itself with these 3 series and THE BRIDGE is even better than the top level shows that proceeded it. Nothing short of brilliant and I don't know why more people aren't watching these shows and are watching the tripe served up on commercial stations, including "reality" garbage that seems to fill the gaps in their unfulfilled lives. Long live these European classics
This series does nowhere near measure up to the wonderful past Danish series. The female Dane detective is a sex crazy caricature & the Swedish counterpart runs rings around her. This will be the 1st Danish series that I won't be bothering to buy. I still run some of the others eg The Killing, Unit 1, The Eagle. They were excellent. I also do enjoy finding familiar faces in different roles, even in The Bridge.
