SBS Food is focussed on avoiding competitive cooking programs or cooking shows relying on a slapstick approach. SBS not only showcases the best chefs and food professionals and the best food ‘from paddock to plate’, but also uses food as a conduit to cultural insight and understanding.
Each of these programs celebrates food, but equally, the people behind growing, supplying and preparing the finest and freshest products available both in Australia and overseas.
We also pride ourselves in attracting the best chefs and brightest presenters to host our food programs. Our food personalities include Chefs Luke Nguyen, Peter Kuruvita, Matthew Evans, Adam Liaw and presenters Maeve O'Meara, Lily Serna and Renee Lim.
Commissioned Food and Lifestyle programs are (normally) 25 minutes in duration and of a high production standard suitable for prime time.
