There is something about walking through botanic gardens. It’s about the senses feasting upon the smells, the sounds, the colours, the textures of all the different plants and how they come together.
Obscure Green Road: Community Greening
The Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens not only has a rich history stretching
back thousands of years, but is a wonderful collection of plants from
around the planet. For example in one garden is a Mexican palm with its
textured, spiky leaves and just nearby is a beautiful soft fern.
Pimp my Plants: Bush Tucker at Indigenous School
Alexandria Park Community School, in inner Sydney, is a green oasis in the middle of the industrial sprawl.
Paving
The Tembeleski family is well on the way to having an abundant and
sustainable backyard. So far Costa has installed water tanks, an
irrigation system and planted out garden beds that are already bearing
fruit.
