GLOBAL VILLAGE takes us to the far corners of the globe where we discover that the world really is an amazing place with 7 billion stories, and counting! With a total of four million kilometres travelled and 160 countries visited, this colourful series, presented and narrated Silvio Rivier, reveals the lifestyles, traditions and hopes of an enormous range of people and cultures.

Screening 5.30 weeknights on SBS 1 with repeats on SBS 2 at 6pm the series, now in its 14th year, "looks at the extraordinary ways that people in faraway places go about their day-to-day lives", Silvio says.
